Job Description
I spend my time equally between three basic tasks - sales, orchestrating and organizing exhibitions and the day to day detials of running of a small business. both attention to detail and creative problem solving are important traits.
Pros
the company is only 5 people and everyone where i work is great, the gallery owner included. (this is important in such a close workplace). the gallery has a steady stream of clients and so the job isn't in the least salesy - something i think i would have a hard time with). and, it is really great for me that the work that the gallery carries and the artists we work with appeal to me so consistently.
Cons
the pay could be better. and there are times where work has to get done by someone and with so small a staff, self-delegation of less than interesting tasks is something to be ok with.
