Cons
1. Not always appreciated. You provide a service that few people reallly want. They need it but they don\'t really want it and consequently your services at times goes underapprciated.. something hard to swallow when you take great pride in your service.
2. Technically detailed. Meticulous to .2 of a millimeter. Dentistry requires a lot of detail and finess that can be hard on the eyes, wrists and back.
3. Becoming a master of all trades. Unlike a medical doctor in a hospital, dentists need to manage all aspects including the business end of their practice. It is much easier to provide services without worrying about everything that comes with owning a business. However, this is where a dentist has the option of whether or not to work for someone else.
4. Time management. Managing your day into ten minute increments creates a strict lifestyle. You know where you will be and what you will be doing at an exact moment and day and it\'s stressful to be off that schedule if even for a few minutes.
